Beloved country music star, often named the “Queen of Country,” Dolly Parton, died at the age of 80 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026. Parton was more than a song-writer; she was also a philanthropist, producer, and beloved by many across the world, as reported by CNBC. 

This month marks the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, just before 7:30 p.m., a tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) that included Batavia, Attica, Le Roy, Caledonia, Mount Morris, and Geneseo within its boundary.
